So tired

I am so tired. I looked into the mirror today and frightened myself. I've had two types of cancer -- my next oncology appointment is in a few weeks. I don't know if I have a recurrence, or something else going on. I take my vitamins, eat well, drink water, see a therapist who specializes in counseling cancer patients, take walks with the dogs, sleep........and I feel like I am falling apart. I have so much trouble remembering things........my brain is so fuzzy and tired.
This is not me.
This is not who I am.
Sitting in my office....crying. I never cry.
I don't know what else to do.

    Feeling Better
    Hi Toast,
Sometimes crying helps even though at the moment you don't think so. We all get worn down especially at this time of year with the extra running and pressure of the holidays. Also the apprehension of the next onc visit weighs on the back of your mind and you don't even realize it. Take it a day at a time and try not to get overwhelmed. I know the fuzzy mind and exhausted feeling, I write stuff down and make reminders because my mind is not what it used to be. I hope you are feeling better today and all goes well with your appointment (you may want to call and see if they can get you in sooner).
    Best wishes!

Well, you could see if it could be moved up or tell them you'll take a cancellation. Or, in the interim, go to your family doctor and get some bloodwork done to rule out some simple things.

Call your counselor and try to get a session scheduled.

In the meantime, there's nothing wrong with crying. Nothing at all. Very cathartic.

Hugs. Come back and let us hear from you.

Maybe it has caught up to you, and you just needed a good cry. You are dealing with alot. Your life is turned upside down, you're trying to make sense out of something that makes no sense.
And it is Christmas, the season that everyone says to you to "be jolly." Yes a good cry may just be the thing to strengthen you once again, and cleanse the soul.

    Take care

    Thanks all
Thanks all. It was nice to have your caring responses. I found that I have adrenal fatigue, low thyroid and low vitamin D. I guess that explains the tiredness, huh? I'm working to correct these issues. Hopefully I will start feeling better soon. Love to you all! Thanks so much!!!
