Let the celebration begin
As the family has grown with children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren my folks have become flexible as to when we celebrate the holidays at their house. This year it is Sunday the 18th.
So there will be lots of people, lots of food, and lots of package rattling and opening for the little ones.
Sure hope you feel better both physically and emotionally soon. Maybe I should share a few of my grandson stories to boost your spirits. He is always doing something which makes us chuckle!
Hugs,

Going Home
I am bringing my husband home after 17 days in the hospital. We are 2.5 hours away from home and it is now about 11. Every Friday my family congregates at my mom's for cocktail hour at 4 so my goal is to get him settled and make the gathering today. If we are running close, I may just push him out of the car while I drive by real slow. On the serious note, this could be the best weekend ever with having the surgery over and being at home with our children. Lisa0 -
First and foremost Pepe,
First and foremost Pepe, hope by the time you read this you are feeling better.
Weekend....today is the twins Christmas party in their first grade classroom and we were all asked to bring something to eat and share that is part of our holiday tradition.
I am bringing tamales. My family grew up by the border and I swear I have Mexican blood running through me. We used to do Las Posadas, which is recreating the trek made by Mary and Joseph looking for a room, and Xmas Eve is always tamales and posole soup.
Tonight is my husband's work's Xmas party and it is a fancy schmancy affair. For once in my life I found the perfect dress and am excited about getting all glammed up and going out, sans kids. (The dress is strapless, and I am in the space that the port scar doesn't bother me one iota.)
Tomorrow is the girls' Christmas pageant at church. The director choreographed a dance for them, and it is , um, interesting. My husband came with me last night to the dress rehearsal and asked if the angels' dance was supposed to be the comic relief. That will give you a clue on how smooooooooth it is
Blessing to you my friend across the miles~
PS: Buckeye and LivinginNH---thanks for the laughs. Hee!0 -
