Radiation: How many boosters did you have at the end?

Normal...
First go round w/radiation I had 7 boosters...had 8 this last time in Aug. So I think it's a fairly normal amount.. Boosters only take about 45 seconds as they are zapping, big time the area where the cancer was found...use your creams faithfully and remember you'll continue to " cook" for about 2 weeks once rads are over so continue wit your creams.. Hope this helps!

I think I had 5--went even more quickly than the regular ones.
I had a lot of burning, but healing started in the outer areas once the boosters started. -

They are targeted at the exact site of the tumor had been in after the last wide area rads. Not everyone has any of them - I didn't as my area was too large to be targeted.

Mine was also a large area and they did boosters at the scar site because it's a likely place for recurrence...I vaguely remembering him saying not everybody does it. (BTW I had 7)

Boosters are at the end of your rads treatment and the number that you receive varies. They are targeted right at the tumor site to kill any stray cells left behind from surgery. -

I didn't have any either, because I had a mastectomy -- no breast, no booster! -

Yikes so did I and they did them?? Like I said earlier though, I think they did it at the scar site because they thought that was where it would return if it came back. -
