Ur symptoms

in Ovarian Cancer #1
I had breast cancer and have beeo on tomaxafen for 5 months. Recently had a d&c because of pelvic pain, lining thickning, and polyps. My pelvic pain continues and is worse and almost constant. Further testing scheduled. The more I read about ovarian cancer symptoms the more I think this night be my problem. Also been having bladder, urine problems, constipation, and bloating. Just curious if any of u had pain if u could describe it. Also have any of u been on tomaxafen. Thanks for any insights.

    Get tested
    I would get tested ASAP. Maybe you could get a CA-125 done--but you probably need an ultrasound at the very least. Have you been on the uterine discussion board already?

    I have an apt this week with
    I have an apt this week with gyno and was going to ask about ca 125 test. My pcp is ordering a cat scan and sending me to urologist. My blood counts are low and my urine shows somethings. I just want answers. My pain and the area of pain, plus bloating, incontinence problems, constipation and the tomaxafen screwing up my estrogen from ovaries makes me think this might b problem. I had a transvaginal ultrasound in oct but I know. oc is hard to diagnose as it mimics other disease symptoms. Thanks for your thoughts

    Early symptoms
    The early symptoms of OVCA are often from the fluid in the abdomen/pelvis (ascites). My early symptoms were difficulty passing urine only upon arising first thing in the morning. The disease was already considered "late stage" at that point.

    Were you tested for the BRCA mutation?

    Testing
    I think, if you want an imaging test, that you should request a CT scan. I had two ultrasounds that missed the disease prior to diagnosis.
