Acai May Kill Cancer Cells
A study at The University of Florida discovered that acai berries caused human cancer cells to self destruct 86% of the time in a culture. While this research has only been shown in a cell culture model, it is likely that it will have the same effect on human beings.
The researchers plan to continue identifying how acai berries can prevent cancer. The assistant professor Talcott says "We are just beginning to understand the complexity of the acai berry and its health-promoting effects." Studies at the University of Florida are also underway to determine the acai berry's benefits on blood pressure, cholesterol levels, heart health and related health indicators.
While the acai berry hasn't been proven to cure cancer, the research certainly looks promising and at the very least it is helpful in preventing cancer and other illnesses. Plus, it tastes delicious.

acai
I was taking glasses of the stuff for months. My father had gotten a case of bottles, 650 ml. It was okay. I did not notice any great health improvements, but then again I am still here. I don't take it any more because it is too expensive. We do without a lot these days. Maybe the job interview next Tuesday will be fruitful. I feel like I am in college, eating Ramen noodles for lunch to save money.
Pete, do you track what you started taking and when? So that you can maybe see if anything has had any observable effect? Just curious. Early on I was taking all kinds of stuff and following the advice of a nutritionist, but to tell you the truth I hadn't noticed any changes except my ileostomy output has gotten better since I started eating more simply and stopped taking all that stuff.0 -

YES, I am doing Acai Berries plus approx. 18 other fruits and berries. My onc was impressed with the quality of my blood and my energy levels. When I am not taking it I feel it right away the next day, tired and sluggish. I have different combinations, one is for Immunity the other is anti inflammatory. For me it works, but it is expensive approx. 35 dollars a bottle. I have been around people with flues and colds and did not get any of it.
Hope it works for you Pete.

acai is tested on my ctc test
so i am trying most the main anticancer things by brute force.
at least acai is well regarded by the greece cancer lab.
maybe a scoop of powder keeps the crc away.
just great news about acai being tested in greece, i hope they kill my tumour cells.

watch out for the scams and get frozen purees or pulps
I have done a lot of research on this including visiting the amazon and brazil. Bottom line, never pay for the expensive $20+ room temperature juices. you will get a much lower nutritional quality product compared to the frozen acai purees (pulps) that all the others use to make their watered down acai juices. I use Amafruits, but there are others. I avoid Sambazon, because I learned that is one of the poorer quality pulps, but still superior to the juices like Monavie and Genesis. The powders are the next best thing, but you need to make sure you are getting freeze-dried and not spray-dried. Also, you want the powder as fresh as possible, because it will lose a lot of antioxidants after opened for some days and it is possible that if they did not repack it properly in the united states, then they probably have lost a lot of good qualities by the time you get it.
The reason that you need to take care with your acai purchase is because it is a very fragile fruit. In the Amazon, it has to be processed into a pulp within 24 hours of harvest or it loses its nutritional value and tastes more bitter. If your acai tastes bitter it probably is a result of the company processing the fruit poorly into puree. This is always the first stage of turning the non-edible fruit into something edible. If your acai is too sweet, then sugars or other juices were used to make it sweet. Be careful to buy products that have a good amount of acai puree, otherwise you may end up paying a premium for colored apple & grape juice (the two most common ways to water down acai inexpensively, besides water of course). For example, there is an acai juice sold at walmarts that claims to have a sufficient amount of acai by stating how much in milligrams, but when you do the math, it really only has 10-15% acai and the rest is apple & pear and other synthetic vitamins. Just read your ingredients and try to get acai with the least amount of ingredients, preferably only acai & maybe a small amount of sweetener (if desired) or citric acid for a natural preservative. If you get frozen acai puree packs, then you can easily mix/blend at home and get 5-10 times more nutritional value in terms of anthocyanins, plant sterols and other great nutrition found in the acai fruit, than you will find in the juices, powders and capsules.0 -

My CTC analysis in Greece showed that Acai berries have no significant effect on my cancer, hence I haven't been taking them. I have been into Goji juice and berries lately though. Will be interesting to see what your results say about Acai Pete.
Cheers
