pregnancy and cancer growth

I keep reading very mixed reviews that pregnancy can speed up cancer growth. My doctors have said no, but I'm still not sure, given the amount of info out there saying 'yes'. Has anyone gotten info or experienced pregnancy with thyroid cancer? I'm still trying to weigh the risk of another pregnancy if I have a clean scan this year....any help is appreciated!

Weighing the odds
If I wanted to have a child and I was cancer free for one year, I wouldn't let it stop me. If the statistics say that pregnancy speeds up cancer growth but you don't have cancer, how can it grow? If your scan is clean and you want a baby, I say have a baby. Life is too short to live afraid. Children enrich our lives beyond our imagination. My baby is 14 years old and the best thing that ever happened to me.
