ARIMIDEX

Hope this helps!
It is possible that it is a side effect from the arimidex, but please know that anxiety, irritabilty, depression, etc are common after a diagnosis of breast cancer. Talk with your oncologist about this as, if you need a prescription, he needs to ok your medication. Oncologists know that we are more prone to these issues and can really help. Mine did and I am now on a little lexapro and I feel better--so I am sure Danny does too

Hi Dianne. It could be from the Arimidex or it could just be how you are reacting from all that you've gone thru. We go thru so much and sometimes we all need some help, possibly thru counseling or thru some prescription drug.
I am wishing you good luck and keep us posted. Hoping you feel better soon!0 -

I have been on Arimidex since Jan 2011. I have had some depression issues over the years including the present. Arimidex didn't make them any worse. I presently don't take medication for it although I did for 10+ years. I have osteoarthritis and my bone pain is a bit worse but I am willing to suffer through the 5 years to lessen any chance of a recurrence. I do see a physchologist who is helping me deal with trauma (including bc). She has helped me think positively. Wishing you peace.

Arimidex
Dianne,
I started taking tamofin and switched to Arimidex after my hysterectomy. The tamofin seems to cause alot of joint and muscle pain for me. I only stayed on Arimidex for one month. All of a sudden when I started taking it I felt like a different person! I never had anger issues, it was like I was totally withdrawn from what was going on around me. I have always been a very high energy person and all of a sudden I couldn't get off the couch. at the end of my first month I called my doctor and I gladly went back on tamofin! After a couple of weeks I was back to normal! I have been taking effexor since being on chemo for hot flashes. It worked great for that. Please talk to you doctor, I am sure he will have options for you. I will be praying for you.
Hugs,
Nana0
