thigh pain
First of all, let me say that I am sorry that you are going through this. I understand what you are describing, as I had a partial radical vulvectomy and radiation in 2009 and I too had pain in top of thigh and lymph edema swelling. I would recommend that you bring this to your doctor's attention, there are treatments available to help lymph system kick back in and it is best to not let it get too bad. I went for lymph edema massage, they taught me how to do it myself, so occasionally I will have a little swelling and I can take care of it myself. The pain is possibly related to scar tissue, I also continue to have issues with that even now. Your doctor can assess best what your issue is and how to treat it. The body will heal itself, but it does take time, so don't get discouraged, just keep moving forward. Personally I have found that keeping as active as I can, within the limitations I have helps me to stay healthy in body and spirit. My best wishes to you.0 -

Thank you for the response funbeadgirl. It has been going on for so long...it is discouraging. I have told my doctor about it. I have even seen two physical therapists. They don't really have a concrete explanation for the pain, and every time I would see them, my swelling wasn't too bad so they didn't really get to see it at it's worst. They have been working with me to stretch and strengthen my legs. I will be seeing my gyno/onc this week for my first CT scan since treatment ended. I will talk to her about the pain and swelling again at that time. Thanks again for the advice and encouragement.0
