pancreatic cancer that has spread to the lungs

My husband has pancreatic cancer that had already spread to his lungs. Lots of different chemo's and treatments. Doctor now wants him to go into a Clinical Trial. Is anyone else going through this? I have questions....

    clinical trial
    seems rare to have a clinical trial offered when the cancer has matastisized to lung...where is the trial being offered out of? What is it?
    How long has he had the cancer?

    The drug is 1MT and is at Moffit Cancer Center (Tampa). The cancer was found Aug 2010 and he began chemo in September. Has tried many types of chemo but the cancer in the lungs is growing. I'm wondering if anyone has used 1MT and what their out come was....
