If you look at my facebook page at the pretty Mercedes, I'll be spending the weekend tooling up to San Francisco via Highway 1, just enjoying the heck out of the car while I have it(rental car while new truck is in shop for hit and run)so I'll be out acting like the 1% in my Mercedes and stopping to eat at a nice cheap 99%ters restaurant. LOL.

What is up with the 99 percent thing going on? I must have missed something on the debate (which is rare)?0 -

There is a tradition in my
There is a tradition in my extended family that we meet at my 95 year old mom's on Friday at 4:00 for cocktail hour. It started when my dad was alive and my mom wouldn't let him have a drink until 4. I always look forward to this. Rest of weekend will be keeping husband busy and around people to keep his mind off of upcoming surgery. For those of you who read my post last weekend about the boy who was kicked out of his house, he still is without a home. He spent the week staying at the principal and teacher's houses. I wish I would've let my husband kick his uncle's a-- like he wanted to last weekend. Lisa0 -

Can't believe the boy is still in the street! Does not the government can take care of him?.

Woke up to a dusting of snow this morning too, Ont. Canada. Santa Clause Parades are starting so I'll be watching one in our town tomorrow. A small town not far from us has an annual parade where all the farmers come out and decorate their tractors, it's at night so they are all lit up with x-mas lights!! All the little main street shops will be open and decorated for X-mas, carols in the tiny church, hot chocolate, barrels burning wood to warm your mitts...it's not for another week or two but it's so homey and nice.0 -
Kitchen
Still working on our kitchen. We have stripped all the wallpaper now it is a matter of plastering, sanding, plastering again. I'm not one for painting so hubby is doing most of it but I'm still in charge of painting doorwalls yuck. One more gallon of paint and then the border can go up. No full length wallpaper this time, just border. Going shopping for Thanksgiving and yes, Pepe, we have already bought our 23 1/2 lbs turkey for dinner, just have to buy some more for the church food depot and a couple to save for next year. Yummy love turkey throughout the year. Sounds like you have a nice and relaxing weekend ahead, enjoy.

Will be prepping for the Thanksgiving holiday! You all know how we were cheated out of too many holidays, so this year I am NOT in the hospital or recuperating, and am therefore hosting thanksgiving dinner for 19 people (gulp!).
Pepe, one of the families coming is from Barcelona. They are bringing scrumptious appetizers....makes me remember cruising Las Ramblas.
Winter Marie, your post made me laugh- Go girl!
Everyone enjoy your weekend!
