To see the onc to go over DH's PET results. His chemo dr is the one that gave him the bad news on Monday and we are gradually coming out of the fog of shock. Chemo dr didn't give us much info so we are looking forward on onc's opinion and stratagy. Trying not to worry here, but send your good vibes our way. Will let you know what comes out of this.
Thank you, my cyber family and support group. Without you, don't think I could do this.

Well, the news was not good. As a matter of fact, a little worse than we expected. Seems the liver is in very dire straits. Lung/Prostate does not concern the onc too much as he thinks the chemo may take care of them for now. But he wants 3 to 5 chemo treatments and then re-scan to see if it is helping the liver at all. If not, he recommends that we cease treatment and get as much out of his bucket as he can.
We are being optomistic.....we are going forth like good soldiers fighting the battle of a life time. We will put one foot in front of the other for as long as we can. I wish that we could take off and do some things, but I have to work as much as I can. I know I will need time off before long and we can't afford it. We've come to rely on my income for the basics because we are "cancer poor". But, this too, will work it's self out.
Thanks for listening to my rant.........

Deb - round 2
I hope you are able to find some peace on this Thanksgiving and know how special you are to fight this battle by Don's side.
My wife and I went through the same of wondering what we could have done different and what we wished we had done. It's been over a month since we were diagnosed and I still tear up on my way to work - I don't want to be there, I want to be at home right now.
We may be cancer poor, but we're love and faithful rich! Please keep us posted on your progress and keep up the good fight.0 -
