Sadness and Gladness
Eric, Michelle, I'm so sad for you, but also glad that you have each other, and time to enjoy the marvelous creation. We live in a world filled with much sadness and misery, but people are what can make it better.
Enjoy your time while you are here, despite the body giving up on you. Right now, it is your spirit that counts.
Your welcome to me will always be remembered with great affection, both you, my brother, and your wife, Michelle my sister.
Take care, and remain in love.

Enjoy The Sunshine
Eric I'm so sorry to hear your news. You were one of the first to welcome me into this madness. I have read your post daily. They made me laugh and cry, but most important they made me stronger and wiser. Thank you for sharing the good the bad and the ugly. I hope your stay in Florida is filled with pure sweet love.
Love,

Eric - thank God for small (in this case, huge) miracles.
I was elated to read your updated post & grrrrrrrreat news.
Wishing you both sunshine & smiles!

I am thrilled for you both. So thrilled that I am posting on my iPhone which is very difficult! Much love and constant thoughts of you both, Marilyn0 -
Wonderful!
That's great news Eric!! Just in case Michelle hasn't been on the Caregiver board recently, someone was looking for her. I did fill them in that you were in Florida and that you'd taken a turn for the worse so she may want to correct that. I'm very happy that you'll be here helping others for awhile!
Hugs to you, my friend

Woo Hoo!
Glad to hear things are improving. As other have said, perhaps the swelling was due to the extended time in a car.
I'm sure your heart is hurting over the loss of Lee. I know mine is and I didn't have the personal interactions that you and he had. It would make sense that you might have a physical reaction.
Hold tightly to Michelle's hand and spend your days in sunshine and surf! We've got the board while you enjoy life!
Hugs, Love and Joy in Life to you both!

Hi All!
Just wanted to pop in and let you all know that I am still here, just unpacking, getting beds arranged, getting shopping done, and the like. Very, very busy, but we are getting adjusted. Still can't find some things, LOL. The trip here was VERY hard on Eric and he began to retain water in his legs and abdomen. He also had a "white" bowel movement (which 'could' mean liver problems). Though the bm returned to normal, the swelling continued. I now have to measure his girth daily. The doc saw him today and thinks it could, or could not be the liver. He gave him some new meds and will check on him in a couple of days to make sure the condition is improving. Love the Hospice group here already. The doc comes to us! They delivered his hospital bed and meds today. We never have to go get his meds again as they come to the door! We did make it to the beach yesterday and he had a wonderful day! I have missed a lot of posts of late and will try to catch up soon. Still have a lot of unpacking to do and getting settled in. It is nice to set him up in his bed and let him lurk around online while I work. Very peaceful time right now.
Love to all!

So pleased that Eric's swelling may not be his liver. Sounds as if he is getting excellent attention from the hospital not to mention yourself. Continue to enjoy the sun, sand and sea.

I can't tell you how happy I am reading this new info. There has been far too much gloom and doom here lately. A dr that makes house calls, wow!! Enjoy your time in the sand, really love the pic! Think I will be able to post one of snow soon.
Hugs,

Have a great time! Up here it is rainy, rainy, rainy, and definitely colder than Florida. BMGky0 -
Great News!
That is great news Eric! I think that
definitely deserves the "happy dance".
Now, you'll just have to dance with your feet
elevated and sand between your toes!
I'm sure Michelle can help with that .

I've been gone for awhile and just catching up. I'm so glad to get part 2 of your story before part 1! That's great that you are feeling so much better and some issues have resolved. Hope you're getting settled and enjoying lovely beach days!

Eric and Michelle,
What news! Please enjoy your time in Florida, having fun in the sun. I'm so glad your spirits are lifted, and I hope you're feeling somewhat better. The both of you are in my prayers.
