naturopaths
Deb, I just went thru the same search and was amazed to find so few in the area i am in....northern Virginia, and areas around DC. Someone told me to fin one with a FABNO (i think i have that right) designation as that means they are certified CANCER naturopaths. I found none in northern VA or DC (via the internet) and only 1 in Maryland about 75 miles from my home. I went to her, liked her, and am very pleased with my results and i've only been seeing her about 3 weeks....already have less nausea and fatigue. Sorry I can't be more helpful. Several of the Discussion Board members use naturopaths but they seem to travel too. melanie0 -

Thanks so much, I did not know about the FABNO designation. I just found out Cancer Centers of America did not accept my insurance. When I asked about paying out of pocket they wanted a $250,000.00 deposit! I could not just see the naturopath...I would have to see the entire team. I am sure their approach is good, I just wasn't expecting that response. I may be sticking to my original plan to travel to Colorado, I was just concerned about traveling after my third chemo and my first shot of Neulasta. I would like to see a naturopath before my last three treatments. I would hate to be sick on the road. Thanks again for the info. Deb0
