who is doing this by diet and supplements?

in Lung Cancer #1
Mother in law just diagnosed with stage 4 non-small-cell lung cancer. wants to get radiation for the bad spots on her bones, but no Chemo... can anyone tell me about success stories by diet and supplements?

    Healthy skepticism is warranted
    I doubt you'll find any data or studies to support that diet and supplements have any measurable effect. If they did:

    a) We wouldn't need chemo;
    b) Somebody would have the Nobel prize for the discovery.

    I'm curious as to why she rules out chemo. That's certainly a personal decision, but depending on her age and overall fitness, it's not something she should necessarily be afraid of. Many people here have successfully taken chemo without any problems that rise above the level of temporary inconvenience.
