Well
My husband was diagnosed in September 2006. Went through treatment chemo then radiation. He was told he was cancer free for all his follow ups, scans etc. He noticed a shadow on his neck and told Dr at 2 year check up, was told it was scar tissue. He kept telling them each 6 months check up it was back. Finally a year later they gave him scan and it was back ! It was also on his scan a year before and they missed it. So 2010 is when they finally gave scan and then radical neck dissection. He is now as they say Ned. Moral of this story is make sure your Drs. listen to you and insist on test if you feel something is wrong. And by the way I think he is getting better all the time !
