Give you mum my support
I hope also that the CT scans show much improvement.
After my CA125 was found to have jumped from 250 to 6,000 this week, the onc. sent me immediately for a CT scan of my thorax, abdomen and pelvis. Will get results next Tuesday (it is now 2.37am on Sat.) I feel fine, only have had a bad cough for over a fortnight, almost certainly now from the ascites, maybe in the lung as well. Won't know till we see the results. Will probably start on another chemo but he doesn't want to commit till he sees the scans. Mentioned the possibility of a trial but not sure.
More to come..
Please tell your mum that I am thinking of her and certainly want a more positive outcome from her CT scans than I'm expecting to have at this point. I have been off all chemo for a few months and the cancer has been growing slowly during that time - much more quickly in the last month. Then again, I feel at ease and have done since I first got cancer. Everyone receives the news differently, for their own reasons. But that doesn't mean that I want to have any pain or terrible nausea. So far, I've been lucky to have missed those completely. Don't know how long my luck will last but I'm ready to take it a day at a time. If I strike difficulties, I'll deal with them in turn.
Take good care,

Well, the doctor ran blood work and told her he wasn't gonna get her ca125 till next visit in three months. I don't know. I am glad she will have a chance to feel a little better but she's not like cured. He doesn't wanna do a catscan either.
I am so sorry to hear about ur trouble. I thought this type of cancer grew slowly? It sounds as though u are experiencing it very fast. I don't think she deals with the news like you. She is scared not to go to the doctors. It makes her feel uneasy like they aren't watching her.
Anyway, it wasn't what i expected. He always makes it like the ca125 is inaccurate.0
