I just had a couple of pretty good days and I'm so jaded that I think I will have to pay for this big time. I am off of the 'poison chemo pill' for two weeks and today is day 6 of that. I feel a bit more energetic, my tongue and mouth soreness is down quite a bit, and some of my taste is returning. I even enjoyed a premium beer and man was it great. Also great were the chips and salsa and the dinner from one of my favorite people. Colonel Sanders. I guess I have become too cynical to believe this will last long. I start back on 'the pill' a week from tomorrow and I am not looking forward to that. I am, however, looking forward to living a while longer, so I guess I will start taking them again. Every day is an adventure.

    You got it Roger. Hang in and enjoy the good days. Treatment will end, and the good days won't seem so special because you'll lots of them.

    Roger, since you are on the pill.....you shouldn't be expecting anything.

    But, if you are going to expect something, expect a successful treatment, and a long life.

    Roger, as a cynical ex New Yorker, I don't blame you there. I sure do hope that your good and energetic days, stick around. Here's hoping and praying the better days continue!
