I had 5fu administered thru a fanny pack mon-fri, week 1and 4, I also had mitomycin administered in the first week and again in the fourth week.

    I would be interested to know who did not have that second infusion of mitomycin and what there prognosis is.

    30 rounds of radiation
    1 dose of mitomycin the first day and 5FU for the remainder of the first week and then final week of treatment. No second dose of mitomycin. Prognosis is excellent. Stage II or possible IIIB.

    My port gave me no trouble and I hardly knew it was there. The scar is minimal and in my opinion, a beautiful badge of courage. :)
