    Hey Debbie, the Redfish in my avatar is an east coast fish (though I caught it in Tampa Bay)...they are even out in HONDO's area..... Chef Paul about depleted them though several years ago before they bcame a sport fish.

    Yep Homer, HONDO has revealed my secret...that Redfish in my avatar is actually only 6" long... the miracle of Photoshop....LOL, actually that Red was close to 34" if I remember.

    HONDO, every once in awhile, when fishing for those grouper we'll hook into a Goliath Grouper (they use to be Jew Fish, but to be politically correct, now they are Goliath).

    Anyways, some of those suckers are 300 - 600#... They don't even know they are hooked until you get them close to the boat... Then it's all you can do to hang on without flying overboard.

    You just keep holding on until they finally pop the 100# mainline we use. We had one hit a rod that was stuck in the rod holder on my poling platform...we had to loosen the drag to get the rod out of the holder..it was pulling the boat.

    Hey Skiff,
    Those look just like crappie. That is about all I fish for here in TX.
    Well catfish too. Go out on the lake, find a brush pile anchor the boat
    and if I have time a beer or 20 come in handy.

    We sink the old Christmas trees here with cement blocks...instant new and secret fishing hole....
