Hi David
I was hooked on the Oxycontin for quite a few months just glad I was able to get off the stuff. I am now on Tramadol HCL 50MG I don’t have near the problems on it as I did on Oxycontin. I don’t know much about Prednisone other then what I find on the internet
Prednisone “Corticosteroids mimic the effects of hormones your body produces naturally in your adrenal glands, which sit atop your kidneys. When prescribed in doses that exceed your body's usual levels, corticosteroids suppress inflammation, which can reduce the signs and symptoms of inflammatory conditions, such as arthritis and asthma”.
Hope this help my friend

may be only used to quickly help your joints. For arthritis, there are many other drugs for long term use. Do you know for certain the doctor plans to use prednisone long term, or is there a chance he just didn't get the plan completely explained to you? Nothing wrong with the prednisone short term. It's only over the long haul the risks build up.0
