I'm back

I've been away for about a week. We decided to get away for a few days so we headed to North Carolina to see my wife's mother then headed to Myrtle Beach for a couple of days. I have my first post-op PET/CT tomorrow so I'm a good bit freaked out. I worry that it will find something but who amongst us doesn't worry when these tests are pending? If I missed replying to you, my apologies. I'll be working through the past weeks worth of posts over the next few days.

Welcome back, hope you
Welcome back, hope you enjoyed your break. I certainly know how you feel about your first pet/CT scan. My husband had his IL on March 2010 and only had his first CT scan this July. He has been really good since fully recovering, took 6 months at least but he has no reflux or indigestion what so ever, eats a fraction of what he used to but he had an enormous appetite and looks better now than he did before.
He had 24 nodes removed 7 proving cancerous, did chemo before his op and Chemo and radium after. It knocked him for 6 but we made it through.
Alan doesn't go on the net and I tell him very little of what I read unless it is good news. He's very positive and that can only be good.
When I asked his nurse why he wasn't scanned more often she replied that really they don't look for problems as if he had a recurrence there's no second op, no more radium just Chemo. How he hated the Chemo. So I just pray for no recurrence and enjoy the now .

Welcome back & Good luck!
Scanxiety - seems like a very understandable word to me. I'm sure we will feel the same when Nick's 1st scan comes around.
Glad you had an opportunity to get out of town for a bit.
Prayers are with you for a great scan tomorrow. I agree with Eric "the cheerleader" NED, NED, NED!!!

Best of luck on your scan
Jimbo,
We all know that feeling when "scan time" approaches. I just keep telling myself worry never changed the outcome of anything.
I will be hoping that your scan comes back with No Evidence of Disease.
Best of luck. We will be looking forward to the "good news" update.
Best Regards,
