Definition from Ultra Sound

I just had a pelvic sonogram for pelvic pain this week and meet with dr. tomorrow. I am 51 and I am on tamoxafen. My report stated heterogeneous echogenicity of the endometrium with endometial thickness.

Can anyone tell me what heterogeneous echogenicity of the endometrium means? I want to have an understanding of my report before me appointment on Thursday. Thanks for any advice you can provide.

    Your Ultrasound
I believe it means uneven lining of the uterus. I took tamoxifen and developed serous cancer of the uterus. If I had it to do over again I would have a hysterectomy. I have had 3 surgeries, chemo for almost 3years and a blood clot in the lungs. It has been so difficult. A Hysterectomy if done early enough would prevent all of these problems. Good luck. Don't let the Doctors tell you "no you don't need one." That's what I did. If they say no find another Doctor. Good luck, Diane
