I am a little behind in reading this but it is never to late to join the dance. A huge, HUGE congratulations in passing the 18 month milestone. Mark will be at 18 months since the end of treatment in January. So far so good.
And you are so right...there are lingering things to deal with, but the JOY of life has never ever been so sweet.
