I've read these stories alot. One young lady found out she was preg.Decided to carry it.About her 4th month she lost the baby. Then she started chemo but only lived a year.
Another one recently was told a year before no cancer. The gyno told her she had a benign breast tumor(just by feeling). The next year she was dx with Breast cancer. Two weeks later she found out she was preg. She waited some time before any chemo. The baby should be so far along.Had some treatments, had her baby and cancer free. The next 2 years had another child.Recently her cancer returned. She took chemo but it makes her very sick. She can't enjoy her daughter and son.She wants them to remember her so she stopped chemo to enjoy time with them. She isn't sure how long she has but they will remember the fun times and not the time mommy was sick from treatment. What a heartbreaker!!!!!!
I know of a young mother my oncologist is treating. She was 22 years old and found her cancerous tumor breast feeding.
My friend/classmate many years ago had bleeding problems while she was preg.Doctors found nothing. After giving birth she was dx with uterine cancer. They got it all but in 6 months it went to her blood stream(leukeima). She lived 2 years.8 years later her daughter was dx with brain cancer. She lived 25 years.
There can be some happy endings and some sad endings to this.
