Has anyone had a failed reconstruction surgery?

Just wondering if anyone has tried reconstruction again after a failed attempt? Everytime I think I may be ready to try again, I change my mind and decide it is not worth the risk and the chance of another failed surgery. My first attempt was a DIEP flap procedure which was a 11 hour surgery and the only other procedure I can have is the Latisimus flap.
