Good News??? Not so much

in Ovarian Cancer #1
well news was not so very good at my 3 month post vaccine trail check-up- no longer in remission - c-scan shows that there is a very small nodule that has gotten bigger in my pelvis - good news is that it is contained and not spread anywhere - dr's at Sloan are not messing around with it - i have an appt. with my surgeon Dr. Barakat next Wed. to see if he can get it out laproscopicaly - but i will need chemo no matter what - not so extreme as first round - doxil and another cocktail of some kind maybe - CA-125 is at 36 - Dr. S. said I have lots of good options and there is an 80% chance they can get me back to remission quicky- so i said i would take that and run with it and make it happen - just wondering about the doxil shortage - they said that there should be more avaiable in December - guess we all have to keep plugging my sisters -

    Sorry to hear...
    about the reoccurrence. I sincerely hope the doctors can zap it out and you won't have to resourt to a long bout of chemo. Your CA 125 iw stilll a lot lower than mine yet my ct scan and pet scan show NED.

    it's not the news you wanted to hear but it sounds like your docs are very optimistic about getting you back into remission. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

    I'm sorry your disease seems to have progressed. Is it ALWAYS a sign of progression when a nodule gets bigger?

    I like those odds of getting you right back into remission. Yup, we all keep plugging, rolling with the punches and warrioring on. Here's hoping that all the chemo drugs are available real soon!

    THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND PRAYERS!!
    I feel the prayers and they keep me going - will know more about the game plan on Wednesday - Carlene - yes, I flunked out of the trial - Oh Well - just keep on pushing and this too shall pass - LOVE YOU ALL MY SISTERS - and you are in my daily prayers - BIG MWAHS!!!!!
