Hi Bob
Good question and I don’t believe anyone asked that before that I know of. From my understanding the doctors are able to block out areas in the body that they don’t want the radiation beam to hit. I do know that she will more than likely not be able to do a PET or MRI scan, but for now just make sure they know about the titanium plate in her neck.
Wishing you both the best

Radiation
Bob, I have not really heard of anything on that including fillings. I would definitely communicate with the RadsMD and Techs though.
I have several fillings and two crowns, one with a root canal. I've been finished with treatment for over 2 1/2 years and have had no problems so far.
Actually I just had an annual (I go every six months right now) dental appointment with the deep cleaning and x-rays...
I was clean, no cavities or anything else going on.
Best,

Thank you Hondo and John. Don't know much about radiation, but definitely don't want anything bouncing off her plate and going somewhere it shouldn't.
BTW John...Is that a bull red I see you holding?
