Well, my dads nsclc stage 3a has been treated with 6 treaments of carbo/taxol during his 39 radiation treatments to his right lower lobe. Then he had 3 heavy dose carbo/taxol after his radiation....His last radiation treatment was Aug 29th,last chemo treatment was Oct 5th.His pet scan yesterday, showed that his subcarinal lymphnodes show no activity, and the right lower lobe tumor is still there, but the the pet scan does not mention any cancer activity in the tumor.I still dont understand this. The doctor said my dad will need a pet scan in 3 months.I am happy, but I am so used to being worried, that I haven't turned the worry button off yet...I am happy, as my parents are....I just don't know if/when the ugly cancer beast will show its face again.I will enjoy this time as long as I can!!
