Dad got diagnosed with APL

Hello everyone, my dad recently got diagnosed with APL and is going through a hard time with it. He had just finished his second round of chemo but shortly went back in because of a high fever and spent a couple more days in the hospital. I'm the one who is taking care of him the most and try to keep him in a positive spirit and tell him to stay strong. If anyone has any suggestions on what else I can do I would really appreciate it. I just feel so helpless sometimes. This month we will be celebrating his 50th and by 23rd birthday in the hospital for his last round of chemo as our birthdays are only a couple days apart. It's just one of those things you would never expect to happen to you or your family.
