You aren't the first
You aren't the first survivor to report this phenomenon--I've seen responses where it was cancer die off that put the number up. But in your case, maybe it is just a reaction to the chemo. The CA-125 is also found in the intestines. It goes up with inflammation, not just with cancer.0 -
Same thing happened to me,
Same thing happened to me, Sara. My doctor said it didn't mean anything. I was still healing from the surgery and he had had to open my incision back up because it wasn't healing from the inside out. After that, it went down after every treatment.

This happened to me also and the doctors attributed it to surgery I had for a blocked colon and I had a colostomy put in. I was not completely healed from the surgery when I started chemo. My CA125 was up, then down, then up, etc. It is good they are going to re-test. Unfortunately you will just have to wait for the results. I know how stressful that can be but hang in there.

Thanks for the responses.
Thanks for the responses. I'm trying not to focus on this and worry about it, but just figured a few of you other gals would have some good insight on this. I will just wait patiently for the next lab work and see what happens. It's helpful to get your responses.0
