in Kidney Cancer #1
I noticed that your father passed away from kidney cancer. Is there a genetic factor? I am going to be tested for VHL soon as my father also had kidney cancer. I haven't seen too much discussion here of hereditary rcc.

    Hi Rae

    Yes, my Doctor told me kidney cancer is hereditary. My kids and Brothers had an ultrasound after mine
    was found. They will continue to do so, hopefully at their physicals. My Urologist was surprised that my family doc
    hadn't tested me when my father was diagnosed.
