Trials and alternates for UPSC

Sorry--just filled out the profile. My sister-in-law was diagnosed in 2007. Because she has wanted to avoid toxic chemo, we have been active in seeking out other things. She had two surgeries, radiation, carboplatinum w/o taxol, doxil (which worked for awhile)and is now on Gemzar. She's been seen at Stanford and MD Anderson. I haven't found alot of people on these boards talking about trials. But I've noticed some biomarker based trials with biologic therapies going on and would love to know if anyone has looked into them. She is also working with a researcher in Houston to use drugs that enhance the uptake of chemos.daisy366 said:tells us about you

I agree that UPSC needs more research. We talked about that here awhile back. My doctor is not generally fond of trials. I have inquired with him a couple of times. I'm not going to be much help to you.
I hope your sister responds to Gemzar.0
