I had IP Cisplatin and
I had IP Cisplatin and Taxol. During the IP Cisplatin they give you lots of fluids and monitor your urine output. You get fluids with the Taxol too. You also have to turn from side to side every 15 mins during the transfusions to really distribute it throughout the abdomen. It's a LOT of fluid so it is uncomfortable, but wasn't painful for me. You just feel really bloated and full. I tried not to each much at all during the infusion time - and sometimes the infusion takes awhile. I am in a trial GOG-252. I had IV taxol day 1, IP cisplatin day 2 and IP taxol on day 8 with Avastin on day 1. I've continued on Avastin alone every 3 weeks since end of December. I was dx. July 2010, stage 3a, grade 3, clear cell. I really think the IP treatment was the way to go for me. My CTs have been clear and my CA-125 is 6-7 right now. Good luck and don't be afraid.
