If this is a jumbled mess I am sorry in advance, things are just going real fast all of a sudden and I am not ready for the roller coaster to start down hill yet!! Dad went on Monday because he had to meet with Dr. to decide what new drug they were going to start. they stopped the others because it wasn't affective and liver was quite worse. They now have him going every 3 weeks, with the first day this past Monday. He is taking PacLitaxel (taxol, onoxol) I know the nurse sits with him the first 15 min. to make sure he is having no side effects. He now has VERy bad hard pains in every joint and can't walk, because the bottoms of his feet hurt so bad. The Dr. just prescribed a steroid Dexamethasone 4 mg tablets He is to take 1 today, 1/2 tomm. then skip day 3 then a 1/2 on day 4 again. His last rounds of Chemo, he had not 1 side effect, so this is new to us. IS THIS NORMAL?? Is there anything else we can be doing for him? Thanks for listening and helping.
