Good news/bad news

Hello All. I promised to update you all on my results for my hysterectomy...thankfully everything was normal...so that part is done....

Unfortunately, the day before I got my results, I found out that my my nephew who had been missing for the past month was found...he had comitted suicide and had been outside in a park for over a month until he was found...my life has turned upside down...the service was last week, and we are afraid of leaving my sister alone...I know this is not the place to discuss this, but it is why I have not been updating for a while...

Anyway, there is always challenges to face...this year I have had so many I don't know what is next.

    I am so very sorry for you and your sister.
    Nothing is worse than the loss of a child and to do so in such a manner leaves anguish and guilt. My prayers are with you. It's soon, but see if there is a Compassionate Friends group in your area. They were of tremendous help when our family faced the same situation.

    emotional roller coaster
    You must feel as if you're on an emotional roller coaster. I'm very sorry for the loss of your nephew. These events always leave us wondering what went wrong and asking if there's something we could have done.

    On the other hand, you must feel relieved and happy that your tests following surgery are normal. It's probably hard to balance these two, very opposite emotions. But, congratulations on your results.

    Take care of yourself and just be there for your sister and other family members. Prayers are being said for you and yours.

    I too just had hysterectomy in May 2011 due to side effects of Tamoxifen-IHOPE you are doing well post surgery!
