I would have my own lab and arsenal of scientists. I would want to accelerate the research. I would make sure the cure is tomorrow and not in 20 years because I truly believe it is within our grasp.

Movement toward Phase III trials is encouragingly on the horizon. The largest clinical trial investigating the use of DC vaccines to treat patients with brain tumors (DCVax®-Brain) is sponsored by Northwest Biotherapeutics.0 -
vaccine
it eliminates those who have already begun other treatments. Has anyone seen the Polio Vaccine treatment. it looks promising as well.0 -

you are right.
ICT-107 requires the consent before chemo
Dcvx-brain requires it even before surgery
TVI-brain -- needs to confirm
I don't know about Polio Vaccine, can you provide more info.?
thanks,

The Polio Vaccine is through Duke, where I get my treatment. I am a candidate, and i've had Temodar and Avastin.
you can google it but here are 2 urls
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18766173
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2881183/
my oncologist has high hopes once it passes the IRB. The viral technology is thought to stimulate the immune system to attack the tumor. There are actually polio virus receptors on the glioblastoma and the polio virus impregnates the tumor and it leads to a large inflammatory response.0 -

Thanks for the reply. I did no notice it till now.
Did you get into this trial eventually? Hope things are going good with you. Do you know if that trial requires surgery to be done in Duke? My husband was dx. 3 months ago. he had surgery and 6-weeks radiation in another city.
thanks again. Jane0
