I got the results of my cat scan today and every thing is going very well. My lymph are reducing and the mass on my adrenol glad is stable. They are not even sure if it is cancer so they are just going to keep an eye on it. I am amazed at fast things are going after only two chemo treatments my numbers droped from 2000 to 67 and after the third treatment they were down to 14. Now cat scan shows improvement. I am doing the happy dance today.

    Thank you all I am so happy I found this site we rejoice together and cry together no where else can I find people who really know what I am going through and what it means when you get a catscan or blood work up done and it comes back good I love all of my teal sisters on this site and you are always in my prays

    PET scan
    Don't finish treatment without a PET scan--that's how you will know what that lesion on your adrenal gland actually is. It could just be a cyst that has been there for YEARS!

    Pet scan
    What is a Pet scan I have only had cat scans so for I have had about five of them. I will talk to my doctor about a pet scan.

    A PET scans shows metabolic activity.
    Cancer cells 'light up' on a PET scan, providing a fairly accurate diagnosis of whether your tumor is benign or cancerous. There is also a CT/PET fusion scan that lays the PET scan results over a CT scan. PET scans are something like 97% accurate at showing if a tumor is cancerous for tumors larger than 1cm. For tumors or spots smaller than 1 cm (about 1/2"), there is a greater % of false positives and false negatives on a PET, so they may not be ordering one if your spots are smaller than 1 cm.

    WONDERFUL news and I would embrace it and believe in it and CELEBRATE it! :D
