Swallow test passed, started soft foods diet

    WONDERFUL NEWS!!!!

    After 28 days in the hospital, I was finally given the swallow test and like Jeff, I got an "A-minus". There was some difficulty in getting down the cracker they gave me. I had been looking soooooo forward to that test, because they kept promising that if I passed, I could have a popsicle, and I gotta tell you that after 28 days NPO, that popsicle was the most wonderful thing on the planet.

    I'm surprised they moved Jeff to soft foods so quickly, but like EVERYTHING else with EC, every individual is truly different. I wasn't allowed soft foods until early in January. Thank goodness you get to go home! People just don't get well in the hospital. We really need to be at home in order to really, really recover.
