My Dad is making improvements!

I have not been on this board for a while due to traveling (visiting Dad) and work.
Life can be funny sometimes...A month ago his insurance company basically kicked him out of the rehab./nursing home because he was not making enough of 'progress'. However, that was the best thing that has happened. Currently, he is eating very well and walking with a cane. Being home really sped up his progress. He insisted on removing the feeding tube (it is still there, but not using it) and it was amazing to see him eat without my mom 'nagging' him (even though I tell her to try not to). He is still underweight, but hopefully that will come with time. Now he is able to get the PET scan soon to determine what stage he is in and what his options will be. A little ray of sunshine after a long three month thunderstorm. One day at a time!

EVERYTHING FOR A REASON!!
I agree with Mary!
Everything happens for a reason, and WE can only judge the results with hindsight!
Although it seemed awful at the time, now look at how he is doing!!
Keep praying and I will keep praying for the both of you. More miracles are probably on the way, IF we get out of the way and let them happen, we will see them, again, with hindsight.
It's always darkest before the dawn. Reminds me that I am NOT in charge all the time, and thank God, literally. I can mess up things when I get the controls. Best to turn it over to God and watch the miracles.
