Wondering if anyone has any more info about this type of mutation. From what I understand it effects the tumor suppressors. Anyone have a similiar situation?

Also BRCA1 Mutated
I have the same genetic mutation. The interesting thing about it is that although it predisposes its owner to ovarian cancer, as well as breast cancer, the tumors typically respond better to treatment than in those who do not possess this mutaion. The same tumor supressors that are lacking also prevent the cancer cells from being repaired. Therefore the chemotherapy tends to be more effective. Also, these patients appear to benefit more from PRP treatments (still in the trial phase).0
