Has anyone heard of photopenia? If so, what the heck is it?

    Not sure. Photo is probably 'light' and penia might mean 'lack of'. It what context is this word?

    Light Density
    I believe it refers to the light density of a specific area on a scan, x-ray or similar...what we refer to as hot spots, only I think in this context it's more a cold spot...it doesn't light up.

    It was on my husbands Pet
    It was on my husbands Pet Report. This is what they wrote:

    There is Photopenia in the region of the hard palate, likey related to radiation field.

    I tried to look it up and can't find anything.
