Chronic radiation proctitis is a common entity occurring in up to 75% of patients receiving pelvic radiation therapy.
Here is one long term side affect to Radiation, Dr. has given my husband a cortisone solution to treat the inflamation. This inflamation causes CEA to rise and is very painful. He will start tomorrow and I will let all know how fast it provides relief. So these symtoms are very much like cancer symptons. YIKES
