question about liver blood clot

My husband had his first scan after 6 months of chemo.
The scan showed a blood clot in his liver. They gave him a blood thinning
injection in his stomach. Will get another one tomorrow. will not see the Onc
until Wednesday. Does this happen often? It is upsetting.
Thanks....Linda

    Is he on Avastin.....
Sometimes Avastin has a tendency to cause blood clots. If he is on that for now his Onc may move him onto something else...This is though just my opinion, if he's not using avastin then not sure but if the Onc is on it he should do ok.....buzz
