Double Vision
I never experienced chemo eyes. But a week or so before I went for my debulking surgery, and was still in denial that I actually had ovarian cancer, I went to see the ophthamologist because I was having somewhat fuzzy, slightly double vision. He ordered a brain MRI to ensure that no tumors were affecting my brain, but he also said that when the body is fighting ovarian cancer it produces an antibody that can affect your vision. -

I think the steroids can accelerate cataract formation. I guess cataracts are fixed easily enough. Usually, a person with cataracts will see halos around lights at night. -
I experienced shadows and
flickering in my eyes whilst I was on carbo/taxol. It carried on for a few weeks afterwards then cleared up. I saw an opthalmic surgeon a few times and he didn't seem to think it was chemo related but whilst I was in hospital I met a couple of other women who experienced the same symptoms. I'm now on doxil, just one infusion so far, but it doesn't seem to be happening this time -

chemo eyes
MWEE,
I get that too! It is the outside corner of the eyes and I've experienced it in both eyes...had no idea what it was. I just finished 6 rounds of Carbo/Taxol and have had a heck of a time with red and white blood counts and very labored breathing so not at all surprised that perhaps my blood isn't carrying enough oxygen. Thank you for your info!
