Erica,
Waiting can be so
Erica,
Waiting can be so hard. I beleive it is even worst for cancer patients. We go through so much treatment to just prepare us for surgery. I remember how uptight I would get waiting to hear when I would be scheduled for an appointment , then when I heard I would go to pieces.
I had a colonoscopy right before I found out I had cancer, so they didn't do another one.
Enjoy the time until surgery and plan a very special birthday dinner.
Praying for you and John,

Glad to hear John's surgery has been scheduled
Erica,
I am sure having approval and the date for surgery lifts a weight off your shoulders. Unfortunately having cancer teaches us how to live with uncertainty. There is always an approval, a medical procedure, or a scan in our future.
I did have a colonoscopy just prior to my surgery.

Hi Erica,
We are happy for you and John that the surgery is finally scheduled. I hope it will go by fast for you.
Luis' surgery is scheduled just a few days ahead of John's on the 30th. He had a colonoscopy at the same time as his endoscopy when he was diagnosed in April.
We will be praying that all goes well.

By the time I post this John will have finished his colonoscopy. Hope everything came out okay (no pun intended). I still can't figure out why the call the prep Go-Lightly. Sorry to hear he's in pain. I'm experiencing pain it seems everywhere.......After surgery I'll probably have to go into drug rehab from all the oxycocone. I have my pre-op tests next Wednesday (assuming the biopsy on Monday goes well). Still feasible he could still be around when I do surgery.....I'll get the date next Wednesday I guess but it looks like from your posts it'll probably be about two weeks after the tests.
I'll keep praying for you guys and may get a chance to see you at Moffitt again.

So glad for you!
What a wonderful thing a surgery date is! How great!
My birthday was just Tuesday and that's the 1st day that Nick had been hungry and able to eat well in days. It was a joy to sit down to a dinner together again.
Congratulations again on entering the "Junior" class, John & Erica!

Hi Erica
I'm always thrilled when I hear that someone is able to have the operation as my husband did, Ivor Lewis, March 2010 for stage 3. Good luck.
