Just an update on my brother...
For the first time in months he had a bowl movement (a colostopy had been installed, so this is old stuff).
He has gained 14 pounds
No serious side effects (nausea, tired, slight neuropathy)
Energy level has returned and he is living life to the fullest! He has gone to NH for a NASCAR race, and will be going to Indiana for a drag race in September.
I should also mention he is now 31, as he just celebrated his birthday on Monday, and actually went out four wheeling with us.
When first diagnosed, the oncologist didn't even recommend chemo - quality vs quantity thing. He is living proof that the doctors don't know everything, and you cannot gauge the human spirit.
My best to all of you,
Maria

Wow what great news for your brother, lovely to hear he is doing so well and getting out and living his life, you are right the doctors can't know everything and lets face it this cancer is always going to be unpredictable. Sounds as if your brother has a very positive outlook and that is just great, thank you for sharing your news X0 -
