I did my first 3 monthly checkup today with blood tests.
so cea 1/48 was less than 0.5ug/L.
my white blood count has increased steedily from 2.9 to 4.6 in the last 4 months.
the only area of weakness is my lymph which is 0.5 and it should be in the range 1-4
i am going to start taking a new supplement to boost this specifically, gotta love those chinese and japanese mushrooms.
my Glucose was 4.9 nmol/L
my cholesterol is 5.0 nmol/L
all my liver enzymes were good except ast is 68 U/L when it should be <40 but its still coming down slowly.
I am just feeling so unexpectedly happy about these results. I don't think i was nervous about the results, but the first question in the onc office was how did i go.
anyway 1 down 47 to go. I am not being overly optimistic, just grateful to be well today.
i guess this is like my walking post, step by step or cea test by cea test. with a few scans in between. got to go and play chess with the kids.
hugs,
pete

Happy for you to have passed this milestone. Are you three months
post all treatments?
Laura
Yes it a touch over 3 months since i had my reversal.
its unbelievable that I am feeling so well now.
a friend today was throwing out some of er husbands business shirts.
they were all really good, guess what they fit me and not him.
its the first time in 25 years that I have been 98 Kgs. I might even go and do some
work, I know ita a four letter word, but it might be fun and we need the money, and now I have the shirts.
hugs,
