in Esophageal Cancer #1
Luis had his biopsy today. The surgeon removed three lymph nodes and surrounding tissue. The frozen pathology tests all came back negative!! They will do a longer test that will come back in a couple of days. But as of right now, the surgeon says it was a false positive on the PET scan and is planning on going forward with the MIE on August 30th!

    Great news!
    That's great news! You must be very relieved! I had my PET scan down there yesterday and I am anxiously awaiting my results...I've already called a few times...they said they would either call me or have the doc call me on my cell...

    My Jeff had his PET/CT today, we will get the results tomorrow, I am holding my breath!

    Laura,

    Great news - try and get Luis fattened up before the surgery and moving if he is able. I remember the doctors telling my day one of the best things going into surgery was to try to regain as must strength and stamina as possible after getting kicked around by the chemo.
