Laurissa .. So sorry to hear about the leg cramps ...robang13 said:Leg cramps are horrid!
Leg cramps are horrid! Putting your foot on a cold floor helps them go away faster. I was told to drink tonic water. Something about the quinine in it that helps the leg cramps. Hope the nausea stops soon!

I cried in horror from the daily pain, which unfortunately lasted over 6 months in my case... My ONCO recommended .. banana's. I would get OTC tablets of potassium and mag .. take with your ensure. Nibble on french fries, or a baked potatoes .. anything that helps with your nausea.
Also, brought up here on our board -- placing 2 to 3 bars of soap (Ivory) in between your mattress pad and fitted sheets .. yes, this does work!
Continuing to keep you in my thoughts, and prayers.
Strength, Courage and Hope.

so sorry you're having a hard time with the new chemo. I too have issues with leg & foot cramps. Try to drink water flavored with something (maybe?) or pedialyte or gatorade so that you are not only hydrating but getting much needed electrolytes. As long as your dr hasn't objected I would definitely take a vitamin. I've been taking 2000 IU of Vit D for the past several years because I was deficient. I'm gonna check out Calcet to see if it makes a difference. I presently take Citrical + D3. I have been sleeping with bar of soap but I don't think it really makes a difference. For the past 2 years I drank diet tonic water and it didn't make a difference. I quite often wake in the middle of the night and have to get out of bed to bang my foot on the floor. They can be very painful! Hang in there and I hope things get better. Sending positive thoughts and prayers your way.
