Dear Anne
I am so sorry to
Dear Anne
I am so sorry to hear you are suffering so much. I don't know why the bone pain hits some people worse than others. I never had it but I was taking an over the counter supplement called alpha lipoid acid 300mg twice/day. I know for sure that it helped treat the numbness in my feet.
Someone else posted that they took a supplement called L-glutamine. I don't know how much. I do know it would need to be taken on am empty stomach.
I hope you feel better soon!

omg
anne, so sorry about the bone pain... i am assuming you are being given taxol
i had some terrible bone pain during the treatments with taxol/carbo, and was given
tylenol 3 for the pain... it helped get the pain down to a level where i could get
some sleep at night... mostly, i just toughed it out, and cried when it hurt more
from walking to and from another room in my house
once i was taken off the taxol, and given gemzar instead, the serious bone pain pretty much
went away... i have scoliosis/arthritis, and take soma two times a day, so that must
have helped me out too... i also take anaprox on a regular basis0 -

I am on taxol/carbo the bone pain finally has stoped but my next treatment is in a week and a half and then it starts all over again so I am going to talk with my doctor about the tylenol three and see if that helps. thanks for your suggestions

Sorry you are in pain
I am on pain meds for chronic back pain and athritis ask you dr if you could try gabapentin it is an anti-seizure medicine that also helps with pain in low amounts. Sometimes you have to try different meds what might work for some might not work for you, but you have to let the dr know so they can find one that will work for you. Good Luck
